Japan as the largest city in the world and one of fashion mecca become very good as home to countless fashion trends. Japan clothing come from traditional to modern, from casual to wild style and more.
Clothing of Japan is a mix of traditional, modern, crazy, cute and trendy. That’s right, most of Japanese clothing in Tokyo or Osaka like clothing in the Western world, but it’s different too. Read on to know about clothing of Japan and it’s good to wear in your Harajuku style.
Japan Clothing : Takenokozoku and Sukeban Style

Kogal, Himegyaru, Visual Kei, Cosplay, Gothic, Lolita and Kawaii is Japan clothing or famous fashion worn by young Japanese in Harajuku. But actually there are some Japanese clothing that popular in the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s and I think it can be used as inspiration for Harajuku style.

Takenokozoku Style for Harajuku boys
The style was popular in the late 70’s and early 80s and one of the first to form Harajuku into one of the best known places to view Street Japanese clothing. Usually Teens in Takenokozoku style would choreograph dances in harajuku with loose outfits or black jacket and accessories such as beads and sunglasses. You can also take this culture to your own Harajuku style.
Sukeban Style for Harajuku girls
What is Sukeban? Suke = Female and Ban = Boss . So, Sukeban were know as a girl gangs and then committing acts like Yakuza. You can take their style as your Harajuku style ! Sukeban usually wear pleated skirts that went down to their feet, and it’s like sailor uniform. Accessories including red ribbon, a yoyo and wooden sword.
